An island of healing and peace…Shodoshima Island, a pearl of the Coastal Region of the Seto Inland Sea.
Shodoshima Island is the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea in Japan.
It will take an hour and a half from the Kansai area or Himeji, and take 1 hour from Okayama or Takamatsu.
A hallowed compound in Shodoshima Island is called
"Shima-Shikoku" and 88 hallowed compounds have been located about 300 years ago same as Shikoku (Smallest of four main islands in Japan).

A hundred thousand Ohenro-san( Pilgrims who visit 88 hallowed compounds in turn) visit the island in a year.
When you scour the calm sea shining brilliantly and the clean blue sky in Shodoshima Island and enjoy its nature, a pleasant wind pats you on the check.

You can enjoy while sea bathing off a beautiful beach or you can also walk in a gorge filled with greenery.
Take a deep breath in the salt breeze.

The moment happiness comes.

An island of healing and peace…Shodoshima Island.

The island, which makes us feel sentimental, is here, Shodoshima Island. We are looking forward to your visit
